Burlington's "Sound of Music" Parade - June 19, 2010

This year, the Sound of Music Parade route was very well attended by the community, and although rain threatened a bit before the parade started, it turned out to be a great day! In fact, the sun came out just in time to warm the drums so they wouldn't be "flubby".

On-Gwe-Ho-Way may be the only group participating that actually sings; however, this year we heard from some interesting performers, such as the "Hamilton Youth Steel Orchestra" and the "Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada”.

Once again, we owe a debt of thanks to John Hido at Discovery Collision Inc, who has graciously offered to drive us along the parade route, on Discovery's flat bed truck, every year that we have been at this event. This year, John's wife also came along for the ride. Since our CDs were ready, John was given one of our CDs, and his wife was gifted with a purse and feather hair tie, both made by Strides. Thanks John -- we couldn't do it without your help!
