Rockwood Pioneer Days - June 14, 2008
The town of Rockwood, Ontario, hosts a Pioneer Day every year, in Lion's Park, and this was our first time participating in this event. Those of us who were in Burlington's Sound of Music Parade in the morning headed to Rockwood for the afternoon, where we set up a wigwam and later did some singing and drumming for a small but appreciative dinner crowd.
A highlight of the day was perhaps stopping along the way at the Mohawk Inn, for lunch, dressed in full period clothing of course. It seemed rather appropriate, given the location!
